This makes me so sad. I’ve seen quite a few posts like this one and I couldn’t help but reblog because it’s absolutely disgusting. Christmas shouldn’t be this materialistic, but so many people make it so. It should be about making the people you love happy. Not about crossing your fingers ready to hate your parents if you don’t get exactly what you want. If you have a twitter, I’d like to believe you’re over the age of ten… and if you’re over the age of ten, you should know that your parents work hard for their money and sometimes they can’t afford to get you exactly what you want. Do you think that makes them happy knowing their kids aren’t happy with what they COULD give? Or maybe you’ve just been such a brat that they think you didn’t deserve it. Either way, get over your selfishness. Sometimes, you don’t get what you want. But that doesn’t mean the things you did get weren’t good as well. It’s the thought that counts. It’s the idea that someone went out, spent money THEY earned and tried getting you something they thought would bring a smile to your face. Hell, if you don’t like it you should pretend to because you care about that persons feelings, because that’s what Christmas is about.. MAKING ONE ANOTHER HAPPY THROUGH LOVE. Not iphones and ipads. Grow up, get a freaking job and buy your own. But don’t make people feel bad because they didn’t get you one themselves. Rant over.
I sat down with Sierra Kusterbeck from VersaEmerge in a very busy [and loud] press room at the Charlotte Warped Tour stop to find out what she loves about being on tour, who she likes to see, how hard it is trying to plan what to wear each day, and her favorite style items. Take a look.
OMG, my ex boyfriend’s mother lended this book to me a month ago! It was beautiful, and very inspiring. I balled at the end. I highly recommend it.currently enjoying this book. it’s a story about gaining perspective… so inspiring.
